    Meet Commissioner Christy Fox

Christy Fox was born and raised in Palm Beach County and has a deep, lifelong love for West Palm Beach. As a native, she has witnessed the city’s remarkable transformation into a world-class destination and remains committed to working alongside the Mayor and her fellow commissioners to ensure smart, inclusive growth that opens doors for everyone and creates opportunities for all.

Christy was first sworn into office as the West Palm Beach City Commissioner for District 3 on April 9, 2020. The ceremony, held virtually due to the COVID-19 pandemic, was the first of its kind in city history. Immediately stepping into a leadership role during a critical time, Christy served as the Leader of the City’s COVID-19 Community Response Unit for Food, Water, and Medicine. In partnership with the USDA, her team distributed nearly 47,000 Farm-to-Family boxes to residents during weekly food events from June through September 2020.

In 2022, Christy was elected President of the City Commission. That same year, she was selected as one of just 15 elected officials nationwide to participate in the Smart Growth America “Champions Institute,” which provided advanced training on equity-driven urban planning and transportation. For her final project, she created the “Adopt-A-Block” initiative in the Historic Northwest District — a grassroots program focused on reducing crime, beautifying streets, building community pride, and fostering long-term partnerships, one block at a time.

In 2023, Christy was honored with the “Champion of Change” award by the Grow Lit Project, a local nonprofit working to improve literacy in underserved communities.
Professionally, Christy is an accomplished marketing and public relations executive with a proven and diverse track record. She served for nearly a decade as Executive Vice President of the Monuments Men Foundation for the Preservation of Art, a nonprofit dedicated to continuing the legacy of the World War II “Monuments Men.” Her work included all aspects of book development for two New York Times bestsellers, including The Monuments Men, which inspired the 2014 film starring George Clooney. Christy also successfully led efforts to secure a Congressional Gold Medal for the Monuments Men — the highest civilian honor bestowed by the United States Congress. She currently works as a marketing and public relations consultant.

Christy holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the Boston University College of Communication. She represents the City of West Palm Beach on the Executive Board of the Palm Beach County Transportation Planning Agency and serves on the advisory boards of the Mandel Public Library and the Salvation Army Northwest Community Center.

Active in the community, Christy has volunteered with a number of local organizations, including:
